This was a wedding we did a few weeks ago [click above to link to full blog].  The bride had a bouquet of Juliet garden roses, cream roses, fresh English lavender [yummy!], peach ranunculus and hellebores.  Hellebores is one of my favorites!  It’s not around that often, so it’s always such a treat when we get to work with it!!!

Thank you to Leeann Ritch for the stunning images!!!

Okay, I know I’ve already declared my favorite wedding of the year, but if I’m allowed to have a tie, this would be it.

Jenna and Blake’s home style marsh-front wedding had all of the creative details that makes for a magazine quality wedding. They had their ceremony and reception at the bride’s parent’s home on Skidaway Island. Jenna’s dad had built a cross over-looking the marsh that was a nothing-less-than-perfect back drop for ceremony bliss. The bride and groom had an eclectic style that was timeless, I’m certain they can look back on their wedding 20 years from now and never wonder “what were we thinking??”

I have a couple of fantastic images that I’ve gotten from the photographer Branden Lata. And then peppered in are marginal images from my iPhone. I don’t think you’ll have trouble figuring out which is which…

Thank you to Brandon Lata for the fantastic images.  And to the girls at PPP::Posh Petals and Pearls.   You all hit a home run with this one!!!

One of our weddings was featured today on Low Country Weddings blog. Check it out!

THank you especially to Luke with Lone Pine Photography. As always…beautiful work!!!

I know it’s early in the year to be proclaiming this…but I think my favorite wedding 2013 will have to be Katie’s wedding out at Wormsloe.  Katie is a wedding photographer so she’s seen it all.  That is a double-edged sword.  Seeing it all could mean you you’ve seen so much cool stuff that you can’t decide what your favorites are [so you’re all over the place…think Pintrest…], or seeing it all could mean you know exactly what you like or don’t like and you know precisely how you want your wedding styled.  Katie was definitely the latter of the two.

Every detail was carefully planned, but not over-styled.  Her look and her colors paired up perfectly with her venues.  A rustic edge for Wormsloe [i.e. dried palm frond], a grande exit from the ceremony [a 1949 Bentley with a bumper garland…thank you William…], and family-style seating with collections of floral pieces in brass goblets for the Harper Fowlkes house reception.

Sheer wedding Utopia.

I don’t have the photographer images yet, so below are iPhone images.  They won’t do it justice…BentleyBumper

Mostly Sunny with a Chance of Green

Spring has sprung here in beautiful Savannah GA, but no day of the year does the weather matter more than that of the St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Our whole year revolves around it. As soon as the 10 day forecast is posted we watch with bated breath for a dry sunny Paddy’s.
It’s no joke around these parts, and not just a sea of drunken green… but a best friends, family lov’n reunion, sea of drunken green. We take the week off as our friends and family trickle into to town for the festivities. You don’t have to be Irish, but it sure helps.
I didn’t know these kind folks in this picture , but they scooped me up on my way back from a bloody Mary run….

…..they had arrived a week early in full regalia with a keg in their trunk.
And we appreciate that

Style Me Pretty

We were featured on Style Me Pretty on today, the sweetest day of the year [right?].  For Valentine’s Day, sweet Lisa and Magus’s wedding was featured on the SMP blog!

Katherine's perfect brunch wedding

Weddings at The Olde Pink House are always eye candy, but Katrina and Mathew’s was  so very pretty.

Katrina loved flowers as we do and chose the best the season had to offer. Peonies!

The Olde Pink House is truly a treat for out of town wedding guests… beautifully restored with an incredibly conscious staff, delicious southern food and right in the heart of our lovely downtown.  The perfect venue.
