We get asked quite often to contribute florals for a styled shoot. A styled shoot means basically that a wedding or event is being staged to showcase a photographer or a florist or a coordinator…or something of the like. There’s not an actual wedding, no real bride or groom [they're usually models or actors], but it’s made to look like an actual wedding. The beauty of a styled shoot is that all of the vendors can create whatever their heart desires. It’s a great way for them to be able to come up with new ideas and create a “look” that doesn’t necessarily have to line up with any budgets or venues or color schemes.
When Rebecca from Austin Warnock photography in Indianapolis, Indiana contacted us to let us know that they’d be doing a styled shoot here in Savannah we were in immediately. They have great style and do beautiful old-fashioned film photography. Their idea was to create a romantic, southern-inspired wedding with the lush backdrop of Bethesda Academy. They chose a lacy vintagey Vera Wang dress that they purchased locally from Blue Belle bridal boutique [one of our favorites] and used a muted, all white, cream and green color palette that so perfectly compliments Savannahs green and mossy grey backdrop. Style Me Pretty has featured the event in their November 15th blog. I’ve attached a few photos here, but link up to the Style Me Pretty blog to view the entire event.
Thank you to Austin Warnock photography for asking us to be a part of your beautiful shoot! And “nice work” to all of the vendors and venues that contributed. I LOVE it when Savannah is so beautifully represented…
